Capture NX is designed to appeal to a broad range of digital camera users. From compact camera users to DSLR camera users, no one should experience the difficulty in using Capture NX to edit their pictures. With the new and patented U Point™ Technology endorsed by Capture NX, you can now enhance images and specific areas of a picture selectively, without the use of masks, selections or layers. The revolutionary technology uses Control Points to quickly optimize the image. Because it intelligently analyzes the image, boundaries do not have to be determined by hand.

Professional results can be achieved by placing Control Points at desired areas and changing the different parameters from the sliders. Other Control Points such as Black and White, Neutral and Red-eye Reduction Control Points allow you to easily manipulate images. By adding more Control Points, you effectively enhance your image with a closer accuracy to your preferences. The more Control Points you use, the more control you have over the image, as they communicate with each other to ensure that it affects only the desired area you choose.
